I have installed a NS server on my FreeBSD 4.7 box. Without adminmod installed on it, i worked great, but when i installed adminmod i just get Connection timed out when i try to connect to the server.

Therefore, the RedHat+Adminmod bug is likely causing your server to crash and restart. From the client end, this shows up as a "connection timed out". Also, make sure that you are using the most current metamod.
