New area
This is an area close to the hive in the living quarters branch. I finally made some rocky stuff, there will be more cave like areas on the other side of the map in the mining branch.

since it's close to a hive, will you be adding infestation?
And I like your architexture, but doesn't seem too easy for the level 1 aliens to wallclimb d:/
looks good d:)

Looks stunning as usual, but I think I might see some problems with the wall climbers

Architecturally you've got really great stuff here, but the texturing and lighting really don't do anything for me. It seems like far too sudden a change between the clean wall textures and the rusty ceiling texture, and the lighting to me just seems fairly bland... I think you could do a lot more with some strategically placed highlights over some of this architecture to add a bit more depth. And I also agree about the wall climbing issue, especially if this is close to a hive.

What rust texture? Do you mean the rock texture? It looks a bit washed out here but the texture is nice in game. And about the lighting, the area isn’t finished yet so it will have a few more lights later on, and less black stuff. I cant really see why you think its bland though, I thought I put a lot of highlights and contrast into the lighting. There will be some places where you can easily climb onto the ceiling but not in that little hallway.

Oh, whoops, I mistook the ceiling area for the d6_rust texture, heh... :-\ My mistake. It still seems too sudden, though, but you do have that little support in the middle of that upper walkway in the back... Maybe try to carry that over a bit more to give more of a "these are holding the ceiling up right now" feel -- perhaps even have one cracking or collapsed from the pressure?

man i always love your archetecture....
I think the transition to rock is fine, ive seen many structures built into the side of a rock, no reason why this facility can use the rock as support, espeacially since it is part of a mining facility, if i understand correctly.

Fantastic. I especially love the lighting and the overhanging floor trim.
