Custom Models Not Compatible W/ My Favorite Server

I just don't understand what's so wrong! Sure p_model I can see that, but why can't I use my v_mg_hv.mdl (custom)?! It's a v_model! Only I can see it! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU PEEEOOOPPLLLEEE?!?!?!

I think you should go post in the forum of the server you are talking about, and calm down with the CAPS.

Theres this great little server called vadakill with low ping and nice people. (Such as gtc|kaewan or spazanator) but if I don't get my custom skins I'm going to DIE!!!

Why, is there really a point in not letting a person in cause is v_model_hv doesn't match? It doesn't really matter, the only thing you could use is the p_model for cheating...

Actually, you could set up a v_model to not have a muzzle flash. model consistancy is really weird option. dunno why neone would flick it on who owns a server. i used to go to the Mr.Men clan server, but ever since they set it up, me goes to the a][ infested server instead. now model consitance includeds sounds and sprites, (server plugin?), so its more evil. ahhh!

I understand why people do file consistency and stuff on their servers, and although I don't like it sometimes you just have to accept it (or bug the server admin until he turns it off, I'm glad the gridlock servers don't have file consistncy anymore). The reason being is a lot of stuff can be abused. Skulk animations can be turned off so you don't get bite-blocking, muzzle flash changes, and one of the more unique "cheats" out there are spiked models, which is kind of like a crude wallhack, where you make player models have long spikes, longer than the model's restrictions, so that if something is behind a wall or in a corner, you will still see the spikes sticking through the wall. Very lame tactics but I've seen people who use them before. I'd prefer smart admins over file consist though... unless it's a clan match, clan matches should have file consistncy because those are more organized than public games.

i never knew you could do that with a skin? uber long spikes? ouch. but i don't get the bite-blocking and the other thing about muzzle flashes? how do those affect it?

in the server i war in it has consistency on and im still able to use custom crosshairs huds and muzzleflashes but thats it... spores umbra etc isnt allowed.
