Airsoft...

just recently got into airsoft. i've been looking through some sites, reading reviews. in particular, about the tokyo marui m4, mp5a4 and famas. also been reading some forums with newbie advice, with a lot of them recommending the famas as a beginner gun. some sites say pick a gun that you like the looks of, while still keeping in mind the stats.

the mp5 would have to be my dream-gun, but the reviews say that it isn't that great for woodland fights without upgrades. which goes against almost every site saying for a beginner gun not to upgrade. the m4 and famas are alright looking, but i'd really like to go with an mp5.

so, any suggestions on what i should go with, and if the mp5, what upgrades?

the P90-TR looks awesome! it's a slower velocity than most guns, but meybe that's good for beginners ;->

Steyr Aug. VERY well-built guns, can take a beating. They're also relatively accurate and have good range out of the box. Also have a BIG battery compartment if you choose to go to a bigger battery pack.

Only problem is that so many people discard them for being too 'toy-like', when they're one of the best guns in the world currently. :b The military version comes with either a 1.5 or 2.5x scope, and it has the capability to be quite multipurpose.. beginning to moderate players will usually be handled quite well. High-end players trend toward custom-built stuff that would be out of the realm of the casual enthusiast.

I believe it's a compressed air pellet firing system.

Very popular in the US from what I hear.

It's a brutal bloodsport played in the backwater bayous of Louisiana. Somewhat similar to the concept of Unreal Tournament, but with the weapons of Rainbow Six and the gore of Soldier of Fortune...

Computer game violence has <i>not</i> affected my mind in any way at <i>all</i>. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
