<div class="IPBDescription">fast paced beginning</div> Here's the scenario:

Marines start in a docking bay without a command console. They have to fight their way to the bridge on the other side of the map to get to their command console. Aliens start without a resource node.

Think it could work?

    Aliens always get a res node.
    Even if there is no hive, as long as there are 2 res nodes there is one marine and one alien resnode.
    If there is just one resnode its a marines node even if there is no cc in the map.
    the idea is old and nice.

    I suppose you could, however, have map triggers destroy the alien's rt as soon as the round starts, you'd just have to be sure that trigger fires again if the map restarts without being reloaded - this is a common problem, for example the doors to the marine res rooms in ninja_fall do not open again if the round restarts, which kinda screws the rines the second time around. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    y'know, if the dev team is looking forward to different game modes in future versions, they could accomplish it with minimal coding of their own just by turning some of the hard coded properties into map variables. Something to think about. There are certainly enough people with enthusiasm and ideas.
