Will NS be able to support C-D in the future? im just curios coz i tried using C-D in Ns then i went to join a team i got send back to dekstop

    C-D already supports Cheating-Death and is running on Warservers NS #01 at this very moment (optional).

    And btw - cheating death stops the current OGC NS cheat .....

    So its cheating death all the way till NS 1.1 comes out.

    CD sux (I have it tho)

    I hate it when on optional server u get a [no c-d] infront of ur name, and also that u get kicked when u have a highscore

    Sometimes servers dont have [cd req] or [cd opt] in their name server so I have to put it on first wich annoys me becuz then my sound doesnt work etc

    and also when i forget to turn of cd and I get kicked to my desktop (like everyone) when joining a server that does not support it, besides they will find a way to hack CD aswell since someone told me he definitly saw someone with an aimbot on a CS server with CD, so its just a mather of time...

    I prefer HLGuard.

    There has been no mention made of Cheating-Death on the side of Natural-Selection OR it's team. However, the Cheating-Death team currently updates their cheat detection methods to spot out Natural-Selection cheats. I cannot see any reason why it would not work in 1.1, unless VAC is enabled; which I don't believe works with Cheating-Death. Anyone else know wether CD/VAC work alongside? comments are appreciated as I myself would like to know that.

    According to what I've learned VAC/Cheating-Death get into "sandbag" fights which means C-D will probably not work with VALVe Anti Cheat (VAC). Perhaps when the server administrators/ops are given their server binaries they will be instructed wether to use C-D or not ... only time and flayra will tell us other-wise. So we will need to just hang-on and wait for the result

    Just further to the [NO C-D] Tag, I played on a server where everytime the notification for C-D came on, it also blacked out your screen until the message was over..

    Very nice way to enforce it, rather than just booting people..

    I exited, started C-D and rejoined and had a great time..

    Yeah, I've never had a prob with CD. I just boot it up before I start NS and away I go. I don't know if it actually stops any cheats (never seemed to when I played on CD CS servers), but hey its better than nothing.

    And if you use ASE to start up NS you can set it to load C-D automatically when connecting to a C-D server.

    If you use HLSW it also starts CD when you join a CD required server.

    I personally don't like CD , yes , maybe it does block some cheats , but in other servers of other mods people are cheating freely with CD. Also , at least to me , CD gives me some very bad lag spikes. And I don't like the servers in which CD is optional because there's no point in that.

    hlg reeeeally messes up ns servers, you can do stuff 40 times faster at times

    ive seen HLG cause lag issues in NS servers, ive never seen CD harm anything. CD does not block cheats, it simply feeds them bad data, so you may see someone with an aimbot but it wont work very well, in effect negating the whole point, now the cheater cant control his own player and he cant hit things accurately...

    because CD changes the way data flows around halflife, VAC sees it as a hack. they are incompatible in this sense. someday VAC will adapt and allow CD i am sure, but it is not today, this is why CD CS servers are so rare, because CS should use VAC ...

    ive heard 1.1 will support VAC, i dont know what support means really, so we'll have to see how it turns out.

    zel.. when cd feeds the cheat bad data.. someone is allowed to consider that as "blocking the hack" dont take the general meaning so literal.

    i was under the impression that the common knowledge of the term blocking the hack was simply stopping its ability to run, irrespective of the quality of said hack after CD.

    CD is made by the HLG makers and CD is far more effective. If you use the All Seeing Eye it will open and close CD for you when connecting to CD servers. And you must be obsessive compulsive if that [No-CD] tag bothers you that much. also a CD server won't kick you out for having a high score unless its a CD Optional server and they have mediator on it (it will kick you if your <b>not</b> running CD and get a high score).

    I think the next version of C-D will have a NS specific bug fix to it. One less reason to hate C-D.

    Everything you said was very true except that.

    I personally wished all servers ran CD, I have very few bug related issues with it, only frame rate drops. But to say CD protects anyone from admins (kick votes don't count as abuse) abusing power is incorrect. Then again, I doubt my score was the reason for every boot, I always have the top score, that is an unchanging constant.
