<div class="IPBDescription">Any mappers out there?</div>Hi,
I have an idea for a map in NS.I do not know if such an idea already exists but here goes.Marines spawn in different places,in small groups. The commander is at a location aptly named the exit-point.The objective of the map is to make your way back to the landingvehicle or exit or other means of getting out.The aliens should spawn between the marines and the exit.A feature I would really like to see is a sort of phased spawn system at the start of teh game:First spawn:marines in scattered groups,Aliens surrounding them.Second spawn:Marines still in scattered groups but the aliens will be less concentrated as well. The scattered start of the marines is intended to increase the feeling of isolation. The trick is to construct the map so that there are several exit routes available and guidance from the commander is absolutely neccesary("lay down a surpressing fire with the incinerator and fal back by squads!").The different spawn options for the aliens is intended to simulate a first assault followed by small firefights as the marines desperately try to fight their way to the exit.
I would like to refer to a well known scene in Aliens( preferably NOT with Goreman as commander!<!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->
Unfortunately I have just downloaded worldcraft a minute or so ago and would really LIKE to make this map but I think I'm going to need a lot of help.First of all im going to get the tutorials wich were so kindly referred to by the posters here .
But before I lock my self up for days on end typing away I would like to hear your opinion on the idea.

The marines will be able to control where they respawn after developing certain technologies so that would break your scattered spawning feature.
My advice is leave this idea until <i>much</i> later in the Mods development.
At least that will give me enough time to work on my mapping skills!
