Ns_freefall Beta 9

Here's another beta release with a few changes that will hopefully increase FPS:
<ul><li>Removed the H & D in middle of the map. They were replaced by two larger wall layers.
<li>Fixed the pool water shape from Square to a circle. From far above, the pool would appear square.
<li>Join team drops in the readyroom go faster as you no longer fall down the full length of the drop.
<li>Adjusted some of the lighting throughout.
<li>Main alien crystals are no longer breakable. Hive area was too dark when they were broken.</ul>
<b>OVERVIEW:</b> This map is strictly a "fun" style map, which was inspired by playing ns_missilecommand. There were just a few design issues I had with that map, which really favored the marines.

<b>KHARAA OBJECTIVE:</b> Build and defend 3 hives while falling down to attack the marines.

<b>TSA OBJECTIVE:</b> Build and defend the spread resource nodes while quickly upgrading to obtain jetpacks. Ladders may also be used in earlier attacks before jetpacks are available.

    The map looks sweet. We tried to play it lastnight. We get 20 or 30 minutes into the game and it crashes the server. 1gig windows machine behind an oc32 out of kansas city mo. Happened all 3 times. We wish we could play a full game on this map. It looks like the best vertical map we have seen.

    Yes, we are aware of this crashing issue and are trying to work with the NS team to resolve the issues (which are most likely internal to NS) for v1.1. The problem appears to be NS trying to send too much data at one time between the client and the server which is causing a client overflow and then crashing the server.

    This crashing will happen periodically even in the standard maps where you have turrets/chambers in large rooms and the enemy comes to battle. ns_freefall being pretty much just a large room, seems to amplify this crash issue. I've been trying to change up the map a little here and there in the latest releases (up to beta 10 as of now) to help increase the FPS and hopefully reduce the crashing. We'll see.

    It's still the most requested map on my server though.
