Winamp 2.91

<div class="IPBDescription">Anyone try it yet?</div> Winamp 2.91 was released today, and I was wondering if anyone here has given it a shot.

I'm currently using 2.8, and I hate Winamp 3 with a passion.

Is 2.91 just an update to facilitate an eventual migration to 3, or is it keeping the base of 2.8 and fixing some bugs? According to the changelog, it's just bug fixes and whatnot, but I'm reluctant to have those fixes (which I've never noticed) if it means hogging the system resources like 3 does.

    As a heads up just in case anyone asks, this doesn't overright any skins set currently. Nor does it even change it.

    Yeah, i'm using winamp 2.91 right now, it seems to work fine. I too, am a firm believer that winamp 3 blows goats and loved 2.8 with a passion. 2.91 doesn't seem to be too bad; I like the internet radio feature it has.

    I say get it, and if you don't like it go back to 2.8

    I got drunk one night and installed Winamp3... didn't look back. I like the playlist browser and the skin looks quite good <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Never noticed any severe drain on resources by the way...

    I'm still using 2.79 lol, would prolly still be using an even older version if I hadnt had to wipe all my hard drives at one point.

    It plays my music and doesnt eat my computers resources (yes I tried 3 when it came out) and my net connection is too crappy for internet radio so i'll stick with this one ^-^

    At least i know it works.

    The only thing I have noticed is that if you leave it running for about 10 hours, it just stops, and then it won't play songs on random you have to close winamp and load it up again ;D

    ahh... im using 2.9 and it includes the only thing i liked about winamp 3 *except for the awesome skins* video! theres video in it...and it works great too much better then wmp IMO

    I liked Winamp3.0... EXCEPT the playlist editor would add both MP3 and video into teh same playlist! and there was no way to sort it!
