<div class="IPBDescription">works well with speakers?</div> I hate using headphones. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a mic that works well with speakers & voice com in general, but w/o headphones. Also despise those boom mic + stand dealies, something like a headset with no headphones + noise canceling microphone would be ideal <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Subvocal mic, or an induction mic. Tape it to your neck and talk.

    I know you said you don't like headsets, but I assume that means w/ sound and such. I don't like the sound from my headset either so I just wear the headset around my neck. That may work out for ya...

    why don't you like headsets, you get waayyy better 3D-sounds in them.

    Sony do a Tie Pin Microphone with:
    Omni-directional 50 - 12000 Hz - Effective Output Level 51 dB ± 4 dB - Output Impedance 1.6 KOhm ± 30%

    Thats about $10us

    Labtech do one for about $16us that comes with clothing grips, and a desktop/monitor stand that also has a noise cancellation ciruit built in so if you start to get feedback it will click off till you speak, clever hey ;D

    But personally I can't understand why you don't want to use a full headset ;p

    I just dont like the sound quality that comes with using em, also they become irritating to wear for extended periods of time. Can't compare to a quality stereo system, and with my setup I have no trouble at all with 3d sound.

    though the bone induction microphone stuff sounds neat, but expensive!
