Upgrading After Relocating

<div class="IPBDescription">Can't seem to upgrade at all..</div> Sometimes when marines relocate (this problem I've seen on eclipse a few times), they'll put their structures down. But whenever the commander clicks on say the arms lab or armory to do upgrades, clicking on the structure will sometimes target the command chair (or even infantry portals). So basically, the marines can't upgrade because its impossible since clicking the structure won't let you target it for upgrades. Commander can put more structures down, just can't click to upgrade. I heard you're supposed to click the command chair then try clicking the target you want to upgrade but had no luck with that in the past.

Yes, this is a common problem. Two relocation points to avoid are
<ul>
<li>eclipse hive in ns_eclipse
<li>sewer hive in ns_caged
</ul>

I think they are map bugs rather then game bugs. who knows

It's probably the same bug that hinders you from upgrading the tf to siege. I have heard that it's because the building is built on Z=0 coordinates. Don't know why that makes it fubar but the mapmaker can make sure it doesn't happen by making sure that no floors are at z=0.

It's a map specific bug, it will be fixed in the 1.1 incarnations of the maps.

Same thing has happened to me, when I relocated to shipping tunnel behind ventilation hive. Well, I decided to screw the aliens this time and block the door with the arms lab. Guess what.... besides the fact that blocking that door is only useful to aliens (damn the vents!) the arms lab refused to let me upgrade. And so did my armory. So ....yea
