And might I be the first to say:

Greedo, I worry 'bout that too. I hope Flayra is smart enough to delay the release several weeks past CS. Or get it out a month or two before CS.

Well, a month or two before CS is unrealistic, because it would practically eliminate the NS beta testing. But I guess that the way things are going now (1.4's been beta for about 2 and a half weeks now), we'll be released some time afterwards.

if the "jump limiter" is as bad as some ppl have said, there might be quite a few ppl looking for a new mod

Hmm, topic skew has already begun. We have logged about 300 downloads of the various screensavers between rr.org and FilePlanet. Be sure to grab one and do your part for the Interplanetary War Effort. I alternate running the Merkaba and Relic25 screensavers at work, which are real conversation starters.

Some guy: 'Hey, cool screensaver. What is that?'
Me: 'Oh, they are ingame shots from the Natural Selection Half-Life mod'
Some guy: 'CounterStrike 0wnz3rz j00000000'
Me: 'Dude, can you just finish emptying my trash can and move along?'

Of course, no comment on the release date.

Great stuff. Greedo's story is quite clever and witty. Those are some amazing map shots too, ones I hadn't seen previously. Nice!

Yeah both screensavers rock!
LOL i hope the NS community doesn't start making up some sort of language like the 1337 speak. Sometimes you can't even understand what they are saying, and i hate it that they put orz behind everything they say: cheat0rz, lolz0rz, hax0rz, n00b0r, etc. etc. etc.

LOL MonsE that was some funny narraration. You know its getting bad when people acutally say things like "Wow thats funny! LOL" or "You Suxz0rsz" in everyday conversation. Time to get some help. Other than that, i run the Models/Artwork screensaver one. Its a real conversation starter with my dad.

Dad "whats that?"
Me "Its a screensaver"
Dad " Oh.... give me Medal of Honor son... time to kill some nazis"

Heh. Your dad sounds a lot cooler than mine. I bought him a computer and a nice laser printer a few years back for Christmas, and the next time I flew in to see him he was still banging away on a Westinghouse mechanical typewriter. And he keeps asking me if I'm going to get a real job, since the whole computer thing will just blow over at some point. He, uh, was born in the 40's...

In case you missed it, the second day of the Readyroom mappers feature went off last night. Be sure to check out the incredible shots from Ekaj and TommyD. NS_Shaft has some really tantalizing architecture - I think you will agree when you see it. I can also tell you from having gotten a chance to run around on NS_reaction that it will comepletely pwn j00.

There is also a round up of all the cool interviews and NS news from around the web, in case you missed anything.

And of course, that signature MonsieurEvil 'wit'.
