<div class="IPBDescription">Vsync? Freelancer?</div> System specs:
P3 800
384MB RAM
GeForce2 GTS 32MX AGP
Voodoo Banshee PCI (disabled)
Desktop resolution: 1152x864x32
Half-Life resolution: 1024x768x16 (or 24? Not sure. Not 32.)
Ok, here's the sequence of events:
1) Saturday night, play NS no problem.
2) Sunday afternoon, install Freelancer.
3) Monday afternoon, read Vsync thread in General Forums, go look at NVRL (nVidia version of RefreshLock). Note user review that the new Det drivers actually have equivalent functionality built in. Open Display Control Panel, lo and behold!
3a) Set Refresh rate to 75Hz (highest my monitor will take, 17" at 1152x864)
3b) Set Vsync to "Always Off."
At this point I loaded up NS, dropped down the console, and glanced lovingly at "99.9 fps" in the bottom right corner of my screen. I typed "map ns_hera," waited through the loading shpiel, and found myself staring at an overbrightened, massively fubared rendition of my desktop.
/:
HLSP worked fine. Nightwatch (another HL mod) worked fine. I restarted my computer, since Freelancer had suggested I do so and I never had. I reinstalled Natural Selection. Still broke.
Finally, I switched my Half-Life resolution to 1152x864x16. And now NS runs. /:
While it *works* again, I'd love to know why it only works at my desktop resolution. Note: even resetting my display properties to their original values (60Hz, Vsync Always On) did not stop NS from crashing.

You mean NVRT ?
If so have you tried the resetbutton ?
1) Jower had a good idea there should be a reset to defaults button in your customization thing
2) go to your monitor settingas and see wht it is set at (possibly a descrepincy between vid card and monier)
3) d/l latest Drivers?
4) WAIT I HAVE IT
You will have to send me nightwatch so I cn test this therory out first though (<!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->) (Ior did I simply miss the release of it?)
