<div class="IPBDescription">See Me Play Me Client?</div> Im tired of annoying everyone else with Model requests so I figured Id try to learn to make my own.


I just downloaded the hL model viewer from the link in the modeling 101 post. After I downloaded from the "official site" and installed it, it turned something called See Me Play Me Client. What is this? Also it states in the licenceing agreement that by installing I am allowing them to add other software that qoute (shall be know as the "software".)

this sounds like spy/addware to me. So is the link wrong, or did I d/l the wrong program?

Also I downloaded Milkshape, there was a whole list of programs but this seemed to be the best one out of the list, should I use this or GMAX or some other program?

    Sounds like spy/adware to me. I'd get Ad-Aware and make sure your system is clean, and uninstall whatever that is.

    I just followed the HLMV link in Modelling 101 and it worked out fine for me (even downloaded it again, to double-check it was all working fine). I don't know what happened to you - all I can suggest is you try downloading it again.     Milkshape is an excellent little program, not least of all because it's completely free for 30 days, and very cheap to register.     Yea thanks, I just got it from seaerching from google and I got the correct program. I also just downloaded Milkshape and a modeling tutorial so wish me luck on my modeling adventures.

    always download from the creators site, looks liek someone has recompiled hlmv to include a spyware package. im sure the creator of hlmv would be shocked to discover this (assuming that the spyware wasnt already on your system in the first place and just initialised itself)

    yeah, ad-aware is your friend...

    so is T2K, we've got a Tools Section getting worked on... as soon as i get off my butt... but it looks like it's gunne have everything you need to jumpstart your community out-put
