Hera is not a marine map!
Really, on every map there is SOMEWHERE you can put DCs free from marine harassment. Here are a few:
1. Tanith
waste-->fusion vent
research lab-->waste vent
outside reactor room vent
All these are key locations.
2. Bast
a little more tricky, if you can get them in the marine vent without being noticed it's a guranteed win (you can put them on the slopey part). Other then that not many other great locations.
3. Hera
ABOVE PROCESSING! Build DCs in that vent and marines have NO CHANCE of getting it. Just make sure you do it QUICKLY before seige goes up. (I usually 2nd gorge before the first RT is up! The DCs are worth it)
From Data Core vent to archiving (above the boxes). Marines can get it but it's tricky. You'll get healing from holo this way.
In front of the door in cargo! It's right outside their base and u get healing while attacking their base! Once again, if they dont stop it their base is gone
HERA IS NOT A MARINE MAP
4. Eclipse
The CC vent is the most obvious, and once again any relocation here is doomed to faliure. Put them on both sides of the vent, close to CC and close to Southloop for healing all across that rea
Also there is a vent outside EC (quite far) if you need some healing, not as effective however.
5. Nancy
DCs will go in a vent just outside mess hall (outside the door)
6. Caged
Marine vent. Obvious, but if they don't relocate their base is toast. Won 3 games in a row with this one.
If they relocate freight put them in the vent outside the secret res. The first one can be shot but the next one will float on top.
7. Nothing
Unfortunately this one doesn't have many good spots that I've found. Any suggestions?

Comments
- Heals you all around comp core
- Triad vent
- Under maintenance bridges
- Horshoe vent
- CC vent
- CC false wall
Nothing
- Facing the viaduct hive, the hall to the right, there is wall that has a little pocket behind it. Place DCs in here... they might sink though and you will need a skulk to get you out.
Hera
- The wall nearest to the marine start in cargo storage. This is the same kind of tactic as the caged vent.
Not necessarily a 2nd gorge, but teamwork to boost a gorge into a vent.
And it's not wasted res because you need the resources anyways, and at least the DCs will be safe, as opposed to under the hive where they are vulnerable.
It's usually done near the start, I found out where/if marines are relocating then act accordingly, or if they are going for a lockdown. JPers ruin everything, but at that time you should have other DCs put around the map supporting OCs so vent DCs can die.
Aye once I hear building, its all over for the fatty in the vent because you can bet I'll be sieging it if it's going to be a threat. Works very well if they can be put up without the commanders knowledge, because by the time he realises, the damage could be done.
Don't remember losing a game where we've relocated to CC... almost every time they try the DC through the wall tactic but we always get sieges up. Can siege that sub-junction res from there too.

Wow if thats the case, I wouldnt mind gorging and plonking down ONE dc (13 + 14 res = 27 res) to make you waste a Tf, upgrade, seige, and possibly turrets (do the maths).

On Tanith I like Centeral Acess vents, I really shouldn't be telling this because its just so damned effective, but oh well. I find it so damned awesome because you can heal through the side near marine spawn, or run in there from any key location thats nearby (like Reactor room, Chemical Transport) to escape and heal up.

On bast, N Corridor is nice, as well as that vent above tram.
On Nancy, I don't like blocking off my precious vents, so I perfer to instead, plop them somewhere else near a vent and cover it with one or two o chambers. Or if anything else, that room above messhall, on the ledge high up No need for O's there all the time lol.
Edit: Sorry for double post sorta!
I believe the EC bug is being adressed, but sewer I am not sure about.
