Because if everyone has Microsoft, then you don't have to worry about system incompatibilies and such when you transfer files. Plus Windows is realllllly intuitive.

    Idiot-proofing finally pays off.

Not to be offensive to anyone in the military, mind you. I simply find it *too* intuitive. Although, when toppling foreign regimes, I guess that's a good thing.

Legion, I live in America. part of the 90%/10% culture. 90% don't know where the "Any" key is. 10% live and breath silicon chips.

As do I. But have you ever looked through the help pages? It's downright insulting.

I wouldn't consider myself a techie, but I know a heck of a lot. I don't eat and drink the stuff, but I can figure things out. You'd think more people'd be able to do the same.

See? An evil, evil dictator used Windows. Don't play his game <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

But look at how successful an evil dictator he was. Took the FULL brunt of the American military in 2003 to fall him. Thirty years with neighbors who hate you is pretty impressive. But the mass-killing of his own people was pretty bad.

Plus, MicroSoft could've afforded to buy Saddam's regime and sell it to America.

and Legion, they cover their bases well. I went on with a problem that I had no clue how to fix. Three minutes and it's fixed, including download time for fixes.

If it'd been the US that'd been his neighbor and hated him, you can bet he wouldn't have been in power long. I'd be willing to bet that if his neighbors would've been able to take him, they would have.

/me realizes he just made a politacal statement, and runs like hell from Monse and Nem.

    1) Canada makes good maple syrup. Our politicians like pancakes too much.

    2) As far as I'm aware, besides the Cuban missle crisis, I don't think they've ever really posed a real threat to us. And, I think if they diddn't have the backing of the Soviet Union, and if times had been different, then we may have invaded them. Obviously, we got through the cold war OK, and we're waging war on them with economic sanctions.

If they had been known to posess WMDs, harbor terrorists, torture their people, and invade, say, mexico, you can bet we would have smited them.
