Any chance I would be able to put weapons in a map?

For example marines would have a storage room in the level that would have 3 welds, but inside is a wealth of res and hmgs, gls, ammo, etc. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I bet its do able. I know you can do it in dod. but don’t NS weapons disappear over time.

    Weapons that a player drops disappear after awhile, but what about weapons the comm drops that haven't been picked up yet? I don't think I've ever seen a weapon disappear that has never been touched.. its possible if you place one in the map the game will treat it this way and leave it intact until someone picks it up and then drops it.

    Anyone know for sure?

    If this were able to be done, it would be an entity that spawned a weapon. Unfortunately, there is no such entity. Sorry!

    i bet there has to be a way to write it in to the fdg file. and i think the weapons the comm drops do disappear. they have on me in a lan game where i droped mines and came back to them 3 mins later and could not find them. i think there is just a longer time limit on the comm weapons.

    It's not just the FDG, the programmer has to program the entity into the game. Which, in 1.04, Flayra has not. Sorry.

    In ns_seige004 you could press a button to make HA's rain from the sky into a tube. You couldn't get them because of the tube.

    Thats just a particle effect using that models and NO pickupable stuff.
    it changed from siege to siege version.
