Status update: my untitled map!

<div class="IPBDescription">I've got bad news and i've got good news</div>Well, I've got bad news and i've got good news.

The bad news is that my t1 here at school is dead, so my only net access is crappy 56k that's too slow to play anything with.

The good news is that because of this I've completely redone my marine spawn! Check out the new pics!

The lighting is much improved :) gone are the high poly pipes that proved to be more trouble than they were worth, and instead i'm using those sexy new lab textures from the new wad. Also beefed up the lighting to look good! And probably the biggest change architecturally is that now instead of the room being square and flat there is like a bevel thing goin on in the walls, which i really love how it turned out. Oh and did i mention the lighting? heh

As always, Comments/Critism/Pornography is appreciated. Bash away!

oh and the gamma/contrast is still a little bit off what they are ingame in these shots cause i can't get the settings right in psp...

    Only thing I can think of at the moment is, cut the lights around the top of the window to a single strip.

    Apart from that, awesome. Ceiling is a bit boring though.

    I disagree, I like the ceiling, however what rubs me the wrong way is your red lighting.  I dont think that they match the whole 'blue/white" theme that you have.  To be honest, I prefer the blue/white.  I suggest changing the red lights to blue and then seeing how they look.

    are you on crack? there is no red lighting.

    those are yellow, and yeah i'm gonna change em. ^_^

    I like the shaping you've done with the walls, it echos the shapes used in the textures well.  The point light over the door looks naff.  Something should be done about the way ypour shaped wall join at the corners of the room (particularly in shots 2 and 4), I suggest running a pipe or column down there.
