Map Crashing Hl

Can you help me find the bug?
I'm having a problem with my map, ns_shattered.

All seemed to be going well until i added the northern-most room. All of a sudden the map crashed upon load in HL. It compiles fine, no leaks, but kills HL. Weirdly, though, it doesn't crash when compiled without RAD. I'm only a few rooms into the map, so I don't think it's too many planes/textures/entities... I've also checked the map boundaries and they seem okay to me (but, of course, i could be wrong ). I compile with RAD details: [bounce 2, smooth 60, gamma 0.7]

Here's a link to the Worldcraft .rmf and lights.rad i'm using. :

ns_shattered zip file

Any help would be appreciated.

without lights rad and textures it worked fine.
So the reason might not be a buggy ns-specific entity.
(most times a strange bug gets fixed by deleting ns-specific entities)

maybe the textures have too long names, it cuts away the last letters and you get 2 exact same names with 2 different lightnings.

found a hall of mirrors at this SE-door (leaf portal saw into leaf):
But i used "-fast vis" so that could be the reason.

use the xp-cagey compile tools from the webbed thread.

it seems ollij can run your map

um i suggest reinstalling hl 1110 (richet) and ns
    (it worked for me)

you can also try getting rifd of the duplicate rad entries too:)

Do you load your map via the console or the LAN games? For some reason, the first seems to crash maps spontaneously.

Odd. Anyone have an idea what this could be from?

Don't quite know how that got there (or why it wasn't being reported in my compiles??) but i'll fix it up and try again.

I'm kinda hoping this could be the method of last resort. I use the retail version, btw.

Console. I'll try the other way too.

    I'll post my results tonight.

Okay, my problems have been fixed - no more crashing. But there were a few things I did all at once, so I'm not sure what cured the problem. Here's what they were:

    1. Moved the entire map south.
    2. Deleted and rebuilt the area with the leaf portal/hall of mirrors.
    3. Deleted any textures and references to three .wad files I was linking to.

No idea which one fixed it - yer guess is as good as mine, but thanks for everyone's help. Something worked
