Ns_ttro_v2 hltv layout

<div class="IPBDescription">:)</div>Ok, This thread is only to get opinions of the possible gameplay cause ive only detalied 2 or 3 rooms of all the entuire map. I have done a basic design of all the map, there are ANY details and the room structure will be different. Ive used entity light to light the rooms, so ive still got much work to do. Right now i have 2.5 texture memory usage, so i believe i will be under 4 Mbs when map is completed.

RED -> Hives
BLUE -> Marine Spawn
VIOLET -> Resource Nodes
WHITE -> Elevators
LIGHT BLUE -> Ladders
STRANGE BLUE -> Weldable
YELLOW -> Alien passages

Opinions about the layout (gameplay, etc..)?¿

    Actually, Blueman, this is pretty good stuff. We've been trying to see some smaller layouts, since it would be good to test a map with less real estate to see how it effects gameplay. This is just that - plenty of routes to hives, no major chokepoints, some cool high traffic areas, lots of nifty curves and no long fields of fire.

    My only issue would be the northeast hive, which only has one route in, which would be a little too easy to defend.

    Otherwise, seems about perfect to me.

    Now - where are some ingame shots?

    Hehe, the only reason I didn't comment on this was because I already gave you my thoughts on your paper layout, which is identical. And those thoughts were: Kickin.

    Looks really great, but I do see an issue now that I look at it again... the alien vents. They could use some reworking. For instance, the short little one off of the upperleft hive. It leads right out into a room that is easily accessible otherwise. It's good to have alternate routes, just for the sake of have an alternate route.. but I'd like to see a little more involvement in the vent placement.

    That same vent mentioned above: What if you took that and pulled it down so it connected to the hallway below. It would effectively join those two hive routes together for the aliens. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo--> (Just an example.)

    But yes, this is indeed very nice.
