Ns For Counter Strike Retail

I was just wondering if the NS team will make a version for Couner Strike retail. I played the mod with regular Half Life on someone elses computer and I really liked it, but all I own is the Counter Strike retail. I'm sure that this has been answered before so please don't get mad at me for asking.

    NS does work with CS retail. Look in the tech support forum for more info.

    Thats great!! I've always been told that half-life mods dont work with CS retail. So does this mean I can play the Day of Defeat and Resident Evil mods too?

    I play (or try out) every HL mod I can find with CS retail, sometimes you just gotta change the link from hl.exe to cstrike.exe, that's all.

    OK, I just installed it and it worked, but when I use the NS shortcut that was put on the desktop when I installed the game it says I can't play a custom game unless I install it first (I don't understand the message), so I have to go through CS to custom games and activate NS. No big deal. Also all of my marines have jetpacks attached to the models, even in the ready room and as soon as a match starts. Can anyone give me some feedback on this??

    EDIT---OK, fixed the jetpack issue by reading a previous post, but how about the shortcut issue?

    The desktop shortcut is an dear old bug. Delete it and use the one in the starmenu or creat a new one.

    I was wondering if anybody had tested ns with the newly arriving dod-retail. I basically have to buy one, and i'd like to support my 2nd mod over cs or normal hl. (I need to buy hl 'cause I *cough*haven'teverboughthlandjustleechedcdkeysofffriends*cough* so I feel guilty.)

    WTH man, just buy HL game of the year edition

    It is actualy worth it (HL and OpFor are both GOOD games) and probably cheaper then the DoD Retail
    Few other things:
    1) the DoD team aint going to be making money off of your purchase (they get payed a salary and no royalties probably)
    2) you will hit fewer bugs if you run from HL (look at CS retail, there are alot of probs with runningas stuff off of it)
