Yay!
I'm sorry, this is horribly out of character for me to post something like this, but I'm too excited about this to even sleep, heh... Most of the IRC guys know the story already, but for those of you who don't, drop by my site for the latest update: http://planethalflife.com/awmaps/

/me bounces around on happy feet or something
6 hours and counting... I really should sleep.

Well, I've been here for about 5 hours and have 3 1/2 to go... The new editor is really weird (at least to someone with almost exclusively WC experience, heh), but I'm already starting to flesh out some small areas. The interface is killer -- once I get that down, I should be in great shape. Joel, the head guy here, just came in and checked on me a bit ago... sounds like we're aiming for about 1-2 weeks before I actually start on my first Gore DM work.

The guys here are really cool, too, and as soon as I actually start producing something I should fit right in. At any rate, I'd best get back to work... I'd like to be able to start earlier than planned on that map... Oh, yeah, and I haven't forgotten about NS -- I'm going to go home and flesh out a bunch of new areas on Eclipse. Got some great ideas right before bed last night...

Nice to know that you are doing well. And good job! Your maps aren't as bad as you think they are. I was going to bring one of them to play LAN DM games at school execpt that it was too big for a floppy!

But out of curiousity, does this mean that those who are boycotting Gamespy and therefore Planet Half-Life will now have to boycott ns_Eclipse as well?

    Edit- Typos Typos Typos.

No, heh, it hit stores today apparently. Or so word around the office and 4D forums is... However, I'm still in training on the editor for Gore, and there should be (at some point) a bonus pack (retail or downloadable, I have no idea) that includes the SDK and a few new maps. Hopefully that'll be where my work first shows up, though I still don't know a whole lot of what's going on around here, heh...

aaah, good work, im really happy for you. i hope your new job goes well. you should convince them of the goodness of releasing an easy-to-use editor to the public, did wonders for half life =D

Just to prove how much people love your maps, we've been playing ns_eclipse non-stop in the nstr2 for fun lately. Congratulations KFS!
