I understand the Development Team's need to adress Clan Play's issues. I am fully for this, and am very exstatic with this "veterans" program idea. I know playtesters are dedicated, and an effective tool, but they are just not as competitive as the pro clans (there are a bunch of exceptions) and I commend the recognation if this fact.
It has however come to my attention that the PUBLIC play of this v1.1 will be VERY limited; ie, regs on beta servers will get 1.1 beta privelidges. These regulars are most likely in clans of less rank than the 'veterans', but nonetheless skilled and effective. This is where the problem lies; I am worried that the final product will be an exceptional tournament game, and a rather clunky casual game. This would effectivly destroy any influx of NS players that 1.1 might have brought in by scaring them off. It would also have the adverse effect of deterring would-be clanners from continueing to play, driving what little players (by little, i mean comparitivly to DoD or CS) NS has away.
I'm not sure how this will/or if it will be adressed, but I do not believe I am the ONLY one with these concerns, just perhaps one of the more vocal ones.
PS:
(If you are responding, please do not get nitpicky and respond to direct things in here, i realize spelling is off, i want response to the issue, not my shoddy presentation)

Now, we'll have the best of both worlds. The regular PTs will test public type play and the Veterans group will test the higher end tournament type aspects.
I think Flayra is wise to follow this course of action.
The "Veteran" PTers simply want the game to be the best it can be for everyone, clanners and pubbers. Not just themselves.
Don't worry too much, itll only make you die younger and hasn't been proven to do anything yet. I think the game will turn out well if everyone respects each other's opinion.

anyone else find it ironic that the original PTers are not recognized as the Veteran PTers?
