Now you should try out a pistol or rifle. A good pistol for practice(well at least I think it is) is a Glock, any type will do.

Glocks are nice, square and usually blocky.

Is it possible for me to copy an already made sphere/square and paste it? Trying to make something the same -exactly- is a pain hehe.

Yes but vertices cannot be copied, everything else can be copied.

Does anybody here know how to hollow out or carve out a section of a model?
I'm trying to make a glowstick and if you guys have ever seen one. You will notice that on the bottom you will see the hole area.

I have looked at the Modelling 101, but I can't find out how to from there. Please help a novice, I'm getting a better hang at this though btw.

After I finish this glowstick model. A friend wants make to make a bong model for her....ya..she smokes at times, but she doesn't play games. You would of had to been in the conversation over MSN, but after that I'll try a glock. Just gotta figure out how to hollow/carve out.

Holo out/carving isn't the world's easiest thing to do, you basicly can't for the majority of the time. Mostly it has to be done by making each part and connecting and such.

Ugh

I finally hit a hard spot while trying to make this into a knife model. I was able to resize it nicely, but for some reason at times. It won't load up the textures on the glowstick and it just stays white. What is going on, can anybody help me?

I first made the glowstick and I textured it.
I plopped it on the knife model and it worked with the textures, but when i export it and import it. the textures are gone...(something like that)

*must refrain from putting .38 to monitor*..even though that wouldn't save anything. Heh

Modeling a knife is the best practice before moving on to gunz and stuff like that

Got pics, but no recordings. (I'll post later when I get back hom from class 5-6pm)

Can anybody help with my knife model? When I import the file I get the texture on the hands (yay), but no texture on the stick (boo).

Anyways, this is what i've decided i'm going to do. Since when I import the .smd file and the textures on the glowstick disappears. I'm just going to re-import it and retexture the glowstick from there. Hopefully it should get done. I know I got some list of errors, but I forgot what they are though. Just some QC Compiling errors. Maybe I can have this done by hopefully 7pm (western/pacific) time today.

If not, then hopefully done before Thursday. Then my dream of having a glowstick model will finally be done! Next up, glowstick grenades! Now you can really see them! Hhaha, jk I probably won't do that unless requesting (from Liku probably hehe).

I would like to make some new idle animations though, but I just started.
