Wip: New Lmg

Anyone wanna help skin it?
I'm working on a new lmg replacement. Right now I'm just about done with the model, but it still needs a few tweaks with the animations. I'm just curious if anyone's interested in skinning it? I don't have much experience with skinning. If no one is interested, could someone at least get me some good tutorials on how to skin complex things? My problem isn't really with making a good looking skin, its with fitting it onto the model correctly. Anyway, here's a preview:

Head for the Modeling 101 topic; it's got about a billion links to tutorials.

I like it. Reminds me of a Bud Orr auto.

I can probably texture it with MS Paint (YES MS PAINT BIOTCHES! lol) until I get photoshop again.

And yes, I want to try it to learn more about modeling. Please give me a chance <baby gorge eyes>

Well there is a few things that might be why this looks blocky:
    1. That image is flat shaded.
    2. No skin
    3. I was trying to go for a fairly low ply but pretty good detailed weapon.

I do agree about it being a little blocky though and it was my first attempt at a model with max without using a tutorial of some sort. A good skin should fix its blockiness though.

I like it blocky, looks like a piece of hardware, not an arists impression of one...

Ok, well the animations are done and I don't really think need anymore tweaking. I have a very plain look to it right now (no real skin, just nearly solid colors for it, minus the lense on the scope). Latest preview:

Also, I bought unwrap3d and I'm now going to attempt to skin it myself, once I'm done with that, I'll put it up for grabs for a reskin if I don't like the results. Otherwise, expect a release fairly soon.

EDIT: just posted after you Delarosa, thanks, I'll tell u when its done.
