I was banned from roob's server for killing cloaked skulks (we had MT) and as far as i am conserned after the BY servers were made public I am finding it very hard to have a good game. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Garet plz stop me if im wrong but did i not say on my first post that servers like By games were getting crap hence the reason i was trying to find better servers?

    I could have gone to ASE or serverspy and looked for Uk servers there but I was trying to find good UK servers not UK servers.
    Dizzy do u mean I get bad pings on them servers btw and egg has roob got an irc channel or whats his e-mail?

    Ziggy, your problem is that you are too damn good, if I didn't know better I'd say that you were a hacker or something.

    Other than Roob's server, the warservers.com server is my 2nd choice, and the YO clan server isn't bad.

    Seriously, I cannot believe that anyone would be banned from Roob's server for that, I've only seen 1 banning and that was for a n00b who kept building only sensories and refused to ungorge in spite of everyone on the server telling him to (he got banned for a month to learn how to play).

    It's a shame you were banned from Roob's server, these days everyones paranoid (50/50 for good reason).

    I'm sure if you talk to Roob, he will be happy to review the logs and see what the situation was.     Today (or better said yesterday, 4:15 am now) I played my first game on roob's, I like the server <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    on ns_nancy, first 2 round i was alien and we pwned them very very quick, then I went rine and the round took like 2 hours... The aliens even had 3 hives but rines still won in the end <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    honestly I go away for a weekend and something happens :/

    I will check the logs at some point. You can private message me on the forums (or ICQ I believe). So far since I got back after a weekend away, all I've heard about it someone sitting in a vent near the marine base, cloaked for a long time sat still and then randomly being shot by a marine.

    In view of the fact that's all I know, I shall need to speak to everyone concerned before banning/unbanning, but I invite yuo to contact me please.

    I don't think Roob's server can even be called public anymore, in the last 5 days i've been on, i've known personally about 14/16 regulars!     out of the big list at the top, i would personally reccomend TW@ natural selection and [UKSF] cos they are both nice bunches of ppl and i get a great ping on uksf. i would also recomend The Untitled Kharaa Toothpick Association (its not english, but english people (me) play on it a lot, and you can see your stats online (boasting rights)) if you want a server free from n00bs. (hey, don't blame me, im just an admin)

    Our server will put out 40 pings for ADSL/Cable users all the time, even when full (16 players)
    Admins available almost all the time
    Its hosted by one of our clan members, HellFire

    You won't find much better NS servers in the UK

    yeah but you can still scan from all seeing eye or gamespy (or gametiger?) and look down the list of server variables.
