name a Tv show with thing beaming in and batteling bio aliens. yes startrek its got beaming its got guns and its got species 8472 but they use beam weapons i hear you say not ammo. yes that right they use phasers but they have pulse phasers just change the bullet sprite to big plasma balls it would work. Also pase gate would just be three pools iv seen em on a episode it allows people to beam through sehild or something but it would look cool. Now the aliens species 8472 are well anything there bio aliens for god sackes there ships are the same thing as there standered form just diffrent genitics so basically just have a purply smooth skind alien and hay presto aliens from star trek. Yes it might be stupid watching men in tights running around shouting set phasers to frag but it workes for elite force it will work here to.

and then the reload could be watching a energy status bar go green or something?? Dunno never really watched star trek -.-"

they are called Tracers

Tracers are able to be changed color, length, and speed. If you were to change them to have red, really long and fast then you would basicly have your phaser. It is more then possible but won't look like the greatest thing in the world.

Not a fan of the trek myself ( except kirk, he rocks..), but if you wanted to go with this, I imagine you could convert the models from elite forces and save yourself a bit of time..( It's a modified Q3 engine isn't it? )
