Animated textures

<div class="IPBDescription">====</div>I searched the web around for a tutorial on animated textures, I didnt find anything. I read the mapping forum faq, I'm sorry, but:

How do I incorporate an animated texture in my level?

    Animating textures all start with +0, +1, +2 ect. all you have to do is place one of these textures on the surface you want [just like you normally do for any texture], and it should work.

    Keep in mind that there's a maximum of 10 frames per animating texture, though (+0 to +9).

    on this topic: does anyone know at what speed animated textures play? and how long each letter in the custom light appearance makes a surface light up for?

    Animated textures run at the speed of 10 Hz, so one frame for every 0.1 seconds, or 10 per second.

    Hicks : Yamazaki already made some pulsating infested textures, they are on the forum somewhere if you search for them.

    but i guess its either not there or this 56k is crap (maybe both) cause its not showing up for me anymore.

    no, Doom, it's still there.  It is a very useful tool, if you ever need to do custom light appearences.  Not that I do.

    i know about that (hell, i posted it on these forums not so long ago) i was actually wondering at what speed each letter lights the surface for, i want to sync an animated texture and a point light.
