Need Help With Jetpacks

I was playing at my friends house a few days ago and noticed that his jetpacks didn't work (they didn't have the super fast lift that i have at home). i was wondering if anyone else has run into this problem and if there is anyway we can fix it so he can play normaly with a jetpacks and not have to hold it down to get off the air.

Yes I had this problem a while ago and I even tried posting it on here and no-one would help me. It's the problem where you can't even reach the ceiling right? I don't know what causes this, I think it might be when you install skins it might mess something up? Well that's the only idea I have. To fix it I only found one solution. Uninstall and reinstall NS. Nothing else seems to have any effect, but reinstalling it should fix this problem.

FPS is the problem

right now alot of things are effected by FPS:
JP thrus, alien nrg charge, marine RoF, build time etc

all you can do is try and crank up his FPS so it will work.

Yup, FPS causes the problem. With my custom models i can't even lift off the floor in heavily guarded hive room, but in empty room or if i fight againts few skulks, i dont have any problems with flying.

Maybe your friend should try smaller resolution.
Oh, and does he have default models or custom?
