Best Song Of All Time

<div class="IPBDescription">From animated "Return of the King"</div> I watched the animated version of "Return of the King" when I was a wee lad in grade school, around the mid-80s... this song stuck with me for all those years, even though I was never able to hear it. And then, just the other day, I found it again, after all these years, preserved in this great big internet. I share it with you:

Yes, those are orcs singing in those deep, harmonic voices. Who knew they were so musically inclined? And just a warning... you will never get the song out of your head. For as campy and awful as it is, it's pretty damn catchy, too.

    Um.... interesting... heh.

Rather different from the epic classical scores of the movies, no? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

You have to give them credit for actually having a fair amount of music in them, which is the main thing missing from PJ's version of LotR. Too bad the orcs sing better than the elves. <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->

I was wondering, has anyone seen the animated The Hobbit? I have it and it's actually pretty good. I know theres a really kiddy one too but this one much more adult, the orcs are insane and Smaug gave me dozens of nightmares as a kid.

The animated Hobbit is fairly good and fairly true to the book. Haven't seen the other animated movies. As for the recent ones, there is slight bit of the Lay of Luthien in the extended FotR, but that's it (then again it might be for the better as I never did find a good tune to them).
