A Self-suggestion

Wanted to get a little community feedback on this idea... it's a fair departure from the standard, but what would people think of robotic replacements for the kharaa?

I don't have the time to do them yet, but would be quite interested to try my hand once my thesis is finished. I'll probably do the concept art myself, but suggestions are more than welcome, as I have no ideas at the moment. (:
