Im just posting a little tip I picked up playing with the workings of MT....
Ever wondered why when you are still above a doorway and the marine comes thru firing while looking right at you, even though you know you havent moved?

Well MT does also pick up your mouse moving, IE if above the doorway but looking around the MT will pick you up, however, find yourself a nice spot and take hand off the mouse, or at least dont move it a Inch....and your not picked up.
Just posting to tell/remind people that didnt know

no...unfortunantly you are wrong...it only shows up if you just move...doesnt work if you shift your view.

Also sometimes they see a tooth/tail/claw above the doorway. Sometimes even clipping (NOTE: You know that at 16 bit colours you see glitches sometimes, right? Sometimes you can see trough walls with those glitches)
And finally, a good marine remembers where the motion detector's circle was last seen before it dissapeared.

....and a good marine always remember to look at the best hiding spots and the roof area.

keep in mind the skulk view point is located in the center of the skulk model so becareful how you hide over doorways. I see people often place themselves so that the marine sees the skulk before the skulk sees the marine.

Facing this way above a door you are easy to spot.

Facing this way above a door looking downwards hides you the most.
