Makes some miles in his claws
Now that i'm learning gorging, i understand why it's so important to have only one gorge from the start.

As i understood the comm point of view after being a comm myself.

Someone should set up a training server, where peeps could go to learn about comm and gorge with exp players to guide them.

What I do is going comm when no one wants to comm. I'm not a good comm, but I know what I have to do.
Gorging its a bit different, you can be gorge and if you are not doing fine, people will guide you. Some will blame you but remember, it's only a game and lost games are forgotten very fast. Trust me.

I wouldnt listen to peeps who MOAN at you if you go gorge and there is 1 other on the server( long as there are not 4 of you on each side)

if your new its best to ask if you can go gorge, and listen to what peeps are saying, asking for defence, OCs etc. Stay a gorge for a bit then change back. play for skulk a bit then change back to gorge etc. it will make sure that the other gorge has a chance to set up stuff in vital places.

its funny when people yell at you when you gorg but wont gorg themselves

i used to always try to be gorg, but i would do a lot of work for nothing. IE the game would end in under 5 minutes or the team wouldnt defend stuff, etc

    13 res is almost a DC/OC
That's a lot in early game
Plus the 4 that's needed to skulk again

I wouldn't necessarily gorge and then go back to skulk in the early game. The question you want to ask is this: is it worth the extra resources it costs to evolve into a gorge and back? Can you do something just as effective as a skulk? Sometimes people will evolve to gorge just to cap a res node. This seems worth the extra resources because all of your team is getting more resources. There are only two reasons to have a lot of resources as a skulk; saving up for a higher evolution, or so the resources you would ordinarily get go to the gorge. Since the gorge gets three times the resources a skulk gets, chopping off one skulk's extra resource flow won't hurt too much. Just weight this against what you are doing. Going gorge to drop an offense tower in the middle of nowhere isn't so good. You can do just as much damage as a skulk without using 20-30 resources. Becoming a gorge to put some offense towers and webs up at an undefended hive will probably protect it much better than just staying a skulk (if marines with jetpacks are on the way, for example). You have to make a judgement call on this one, and the only way you'll learn what is best to do is to try and see what fails or succeds.

Like ziggy was saying. When youve got marines locking down cargo and sht S*its hitting the fan and your only 5 min sin the game.

I need nef near the res node(redvent) no gorge is putting any kind of defence or offence and marines are puriing out.

Its harldy a waste to stick def towers and offence A to stop them coming to the via hive, and B to form a platform from where you can start to harase and assult cargo. you would end up saving res cause your skulks have somewhere to regen,

    ?
It's not like skulks cost anything...
    hehe

And OC's before second hive is usually stupid

People don't always blame you when you're an average/mediocre comm , so long as you keep them active and they have fun fighting skulks and lerks all the time (that is , when they are skilled enough not to be eaten every split second) and if you keep spending res on usefull stuff even if the chances of winning are critically thin. The best thing is that the alien team is the truly motivated and everyone does his best to control choke points , nodes or hives. I had a thrilling game yesterday where I relocated to Datacore/Processing to double siege the hives , but I didn't expect relentless aliens to be that annoying from a comm's point of view... had to rebuild TFs all the time , couldn't upgrade over levels 2 weps/armor , and the strongly defended nodes fell before the evil WoLs just when I started giving HA's. Marines had truly furious fights at Datacore... but as alien munched the upgraded TF we couldn't destroy their hive. Then during a few minutes it was only frantic lerk/fade vs HA/GL fights. I failed , but that game was fun
