What I do (and it works everytime), is that you start off to the right of the rt (where it's still redded out), and slowly move your mouse cursor to the left, while madly trying to drop the rt.(having a commander script helps, so you can do this) It will drop as soon as you cross that little "ledge".

Works like a charm. I don't know if you can do it without a comm script, i've never been able to do it without using it. If you need anything clarified, ask. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->

I'm curious as to how this bug suddenly came up. It's kinda weird, seeing that it didn't surface right when 1.04 came out, but has only come to rise recently. Seems like it was a time-delay bug or something.

So do I, it's just that someone asked for an in-game screenshot.

I've never had to do that. All I need to do is to slowly hover my cursor to the right side of the nozzle until the RT automatically appears over it, then click once and it'll drop just fine. Takes me about 2 seconds with no script necessary. Shouldn't be any different for anyone else.

According to the mapping forum "Placing res nodes too close together makes them buggy/unusable." I'm guessing that minimum distance between them is Atmos nodes.

First, the easiest way to do it is to just place the right node first, by clicking to the right of it. The left node works just fine normally, even after the right tower is in place.
Also, I thnk the reason that this bug just "popped up" was because (I assume) the place-RT range increased in 1.04 at some point. The place-RT range is how close you have to be as a gorge / click as commander to a resource node for the resource tower to "snap" to it. Originally, the two resource points in holoroom were far enough apart that their place-RT range circles didn't overlap. With the 1.04 increase (that I'm assuming happened..), their circles overlap, and the node on the left just takes precedence over the one on the right, for whatever reason. This is why you have to go all the way to the right to place the right node -- that's the only part of the right node's place-RT radius that isn't overlapped by the left one's.
