Makes me think of the low poly set for Day of Defeat. Those things looked hilarious.

    Dunno when it's done.

Don't bump this if no work is actually being done. You're just bumping to preserve your interest while no one else gives a flying fajita.

Low poly packs. We want more fps. Give us better performance. A good poly is a low poly.

Your request follows a dozen others on this board, and the answer is no. The fact is NS was created with the low- and intermediate-end users in mind. The devs made a point to keep every single thing on a strict poly-budget, within the limits of graphics appeal. Each model has already been optimized to the max; any further and you'd be looking at lots and lots of brick buildings, brick guns, brick people.

    Don't turn this into Counter-Strike with brick player models <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

I'm sick and tired of your negative attitude, Jamil. You seek all possibility to post negativity. Some humor isn't a sin. BTW, just cause I don't have an avatardoesn't make me a loser.

I personally hate low poly models. But a skill improving one would be a white marine shaped exactly in the hitboxes and a huge dot where the front of his face is (to tell where he is looking). THe weapons would all be flat red with writing on them (like HMG, Shotgun, Welder etc.)

uhhh.... btw, where is this time? it's 4:36 when i post this but it will say like, 7:32 or something.

    Or this.

    Staying on topic is great.

Jamil, are you using any custom models? If you are Re-Install NS for the regular Models.

We don't all have a wonderbox. If I'm lucky, I can maintain a constant FPS of 10 during a firefight.

    Low poly = good.

low poly is NOT = to hitbox models

I would request that people please read the newly stickied post at the top of these forums.

As for a lowpoly model pack... it's a good idea; hope someone's interested enough to take it up.

10fps doesnt mean you need low poly...means you need to upgrade your comp a bit...more ram...new vid card...new computer all together...something along those lines...and unless your in a VERY competitive clan or something theres no point...you take away the nice models and you pretty much dont have NS anymore...you have boxwars

nothing is wrong with boxwars...but thats what im saying NS would be like with low poly models...would take away the NS feel...

and its not as hard to save up for a few comp parts...if your a teenage kid with a comp your parents bought you that isnt that great...just get a job for a month or 2...get the cash...save it all..and buy a decent comp...

NS runs fine when you don't see a whole lot of buildings... but some commanders like to stack up stuff all in 1 place... upping the polycount really fast.
