<div class="IPBDescription">Enlighten us lucky ones...</div> Will STEAM (Valve's new thing that works insanely well) be supported for NS 1.1? I remember seeing something about this posted, but I can't remember what was said. It would be so awesome if NS was supported. I know not many people have it, which I hope will change once they finnaly decide to get their act together and release it and not mess it up. For those of you who don't know what STEAM is...
It has a whole new user interface and GUI (i think those are the right terms) which is modeled after windows (looks like the tribes2 one if you've played that)
The Alt+Tab bug is fixed.
Whole new console.
Insanely fast server updates. (compared to ingame now)
Instant patch/bug/fixes because you're all connected through one giant network.
...and others.
As of now, you must have broadband to use it, but that will change in the final release (its at beta 2.0 now, don't know when final is coming out).
It currently supports CS, TFC, Ricochet, Opposing Force, Deathmatch classic, and Half-Life.
Someone enlighten me, because I (and many others i'm sure), hate receiving IM's while playing and losing sound.
