<div class="IPBDescription">1 to 2 hit kill on that?</div> The StarCraft Marine will look cool, but I just can't see this armored suit getting devoured by a skulk. How can a shaved rat bite this marine once and kill it? I couldn't get used to that.
Well.... I don't think this model will be used for regular LA, its better suited for the HA because of its size.
And darren, in case you didn't know, the Starcraft marine armor isn't invulnerable, so even bites will damage and deplete the protection it gives (albeit slowly). The skulk is strong you know... how else do you think it can leap great distances?

Yes, I thought of having it as a Heavy Marine, but in StarCraft, the marines weren'y that scary. They weren't a secret weapon of siegness. I guess this would work for NS, but it won't be for trying to capture the feel of StarCraft, just the look. Actually, the "marine" was more of a mascot, that is why his gun was unrealisticly big and the armor/space suit is so big. Whoever said that thing about zergs killing them easily, maybe in the cinematic health value, but it takes at least 5-6 in-game. And yes the skulk is strong, but the marine in starcraft isn't just wearing kevlar, it is a serious armor suit. You can't tell what color skin it's host has or if he's fat or not. It is all over. Whereas the skulk was 'designed' to kill smaller, hardly armored marines. The health values were perfect for that.
I just read kittens reply, and this is our best bet. But what will the C-10 rifle be? I know some are in progress, but the LMG has a nasty ROF, where as the C-10 was semi, or possibly even lever/bolt/pump action. Yes, this would best fit the shotgun, but the shotty has a nasty spread. I guess once again you could lose the tech tree and give him something else, but then we are losing all signs of StarCraft integrity and they are just un organized skins.
