<div class="IPBDescription">GUESS WHAT!! MODS!</div> As we all know Freelancer is the best single player game out right now, with the exception of Deus Ex. Only problem is it lacks content to fill the vast world. To make my amazing day even better I have learned that the Freelancer community has some very nice mod projects started. Go fuel their fire!

    Im seriously thinking of getting Freelancer, but Im worried about fairness issues, since it seems like servers save your status/stats after you've left the game, which is kinda like a slippery slope... however, I have a plan. I'll get the fastest small ship available and annoy all those super ships! (What? The super duper ships are also the FASTEST? Aww man...<--I hope that isn't the case)
    But really, do you think I should buy it?

    I went on a freaking rampage in the rhienland system with the liberty cruser. It took them about an hour to kill me, and that was with torpedoes. Omg that rules!!!

    All ships have the same top speed and cruise speed. Some are slightly more manouverable, but it doesnt matter if you have a teeny fighter or a giant freighter, they all move at the same rate.

    All ships having the same speed seems a little stupid, actually. Granted, it's all in space so it really wouldn't matter, but for the sake of balance, most people would assume a bigger ship would be less maneuverable as well as slower-moving.

    I'm still stuck with the demo (my copy <i>still</i> isn't here <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->), but can you buy better thrusters for your ship later on? It's in the list of equipment and appears to be upgradable, soooo..... <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

    In Freelancer there are two ways to go faster, ctrl+w takes you up to a speed of 300, while thrusting (tab) takes you to 200. The first method can be done indefinately but you can't fire while using it. Thrusting can be done in combat but for a limited time depending on how good your thruster is (ranging from 500 to 6000 credits, from what I've seen).
