    I personally hope that Flay puts an option in to toggle view rotation on and off. I loved it in AvP, and I think that for me, view rotation would be very atmospheric <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I actually didn't find the AvP view rotation particularly disorienting.

    View rotation WILL be an option.

    Though I'm not sure if skulk model will rotate up/down/side according to where you're looking on a horizontal surface. Anyone know?

    Actually:

    quote is: It may or may not be implemented in the future, but if it is, you can bet that it will be an option for players to enable or disable

    That's not a definite at all. Notice the use of "may or may not" and "if". All that quote is saying it that there is a chance that view rotation will be implemented.

    You're missing the point. When or if FOV is added, it WILL be an option to use by the user. nuff said

    That there is saying that view rotation will be in, which is not confirmed.

    Allow me to point out that the skulk model ALREADY rotates to show where you're looking. If you're a skulk and standing on the floor, and you look left and right, the model spins left and right. It DOESN'T rotate when you look up or down unless you do silly things with cl_pitchup/down.

    What I'm going to guess is that you'll get rotation when you go left/right no matter what surface you're standing on, and no rotation when you look up/down.

    view rotation was in NS back in the early PT's, but Flayra disabled it because I think he said it made him feel sick.

    So .. it <b>is</b> possible and <b>has</b> worked before.

    And, with this quote off n-s.org;

    <!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->
    Skulk model orients properly when running on wall! <b>Possible option for transforming first-person view</b>
    <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    I'm betting you'll see the option ...

    if you have played Opera, you'd know it is possible to have the view rotating (side roll)
    Should be a piece of cake to leave it on for the duration of a wall-stick.
