They passed him infront of him and from behind! If you think that green uniform does not match to the red hive you are right but they still did not see him.

Most aliens passed him quickly. Some searched around for short time and gone away. At this place you can just see him from STRAIGHT forward in a 30° angle.
-> As long as you dont move you can hide amlost anywere if noone searches there seriously/normally. a single movement is visible easily.
Omg. That hive picture is great.
