Weird Eax Issue

At random after playing NS regardless of s_eax 0 or 1 the EAX reverb gets locked to the same as the HL one grossly offending my audiophile ears. The strange thing is that only the reverb gets locked equalization, chorus, and pitch changes can still be moved but the reverb won't change. Reseting the EAX mixer still doesn't fix it.
