<div class="IPBDescription">standard binds don't work</div> I'm sure this has been covered, but for some reason the search function doesn't seem to be working for this section

I bound "next weapon" and "previous weapon" to wheelup and wheeldown. Problem is, next weapon doesn't work properly. In alien mode it doews not work at all, and in marine mode it works BUT hud fastswitching doesn't. Previous weapon works with fast switching in both marine and alien mode. What gives? What is the solution to this?

    WHEELUP is "invnext"
    WHEELDOWN is "invprev"

It has been mentioned before, so it's not just you. The suggestion I offered was to make a script which switches your weapons manually without using invnext and invprev. As far as I know, there's no way to use invnext and invprev and get it to fastswitch for marine weapons if you're affected by this problem. Come to think of it, I don't know of anyone who can fastswitch marine weapons with the mousewheel.

it has always worked for me with "next weapon" but never with "previous weapon"

i went into the config and foin the fast switch entry and changed it to "1" and now i dont get the hud at all, except with prev weapon, but i dont use that, i mainly use the number keys, and it changes automatically.

    as Tsungfai said,

    bind "mwheelup" "invnext"

    bind "mwheeldown" "invprev"

type that in console, or put it straight into your config.cfg in you NS folder

You have to manually bind invprev. For some reason the controls menu binds it wrong.

    Ahahahaha don't I feel stupid

Yeah since I used the actual control configuration page in the setup menu It didn't even cross my mind that the control is improperly labeled as "impulse 1" instead of "invnext".

BEFORE you write anything, I will say it again - I DID use the correct binding option in the setup menu.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to point out the obvious answer to my dumb arse.
