I made one once, but never got it to work. Where do I put the pldecal.wad, and how do I use it in game? Just a sec, and I'll find what I made and post it...

To save space, all my sprays that I use (yes, I shuffle every so often, these are just my recent ones) and some info on how I make them, and why they work so well in-game.
First off, the core trick is to make all your sprays 32x256, 64x128, 64x64, 128x64, or 256x32. Always. While any spraypaint that's a multiple of 16 in each direction and not larger than a certain size overall will load, they'll look like **** in-game because your 3D card will re-size them to one of these sizes in each direction: 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024.
Second trick, trim your images at double to quadruple the in-game resolution. That means edit the 1024x512 image to a clean, sharp, crisp edge. Don't use bright blue yet, use proper alpha channels. If you don't understand that, get a copy of The G.I.M.P. and use that, it's what I use, and what I'll assume you're using now, instead of a pirated copy of PhotoShop or Paint Shop Pro.
Now, rescale the image to in-game resolution, highest-quality mode if given the option. Duplicate the layer so there's two copies. Select the topmost layer (the one above the other one). Go to the Image->Colors->Levels dialog on the right-click menu. Go to Red on the drop-down box. Set both Output Levels to 0. Go to Green on the drop-down box. Set both Output Levels to 0. Go to Blue on the drop-down box. Set both Output Levels to 255. Go to Alpha on the drop-down box. Set Output Levels to 255 and 0, the reverse of what they are now. Set Input Levels to 0, 1.0, and 1. Click OK.
You now have an extra-sharp pure-blue (which will show up see-through in-game) mask around your spraypaint. Now to fill in the 'partial see-through' pixels so they'll blend against most walls better.
Make a new layer, select it and fill it with 50% grey (Red 128, Green 128, Blue 128, #808080). Use Filters->Noise->Scatter HSV. Holdness 1, all others to 128. Click OK. Use Filters->Blur->Gaussian Blur (RLE). Both settings to 11. Click OK. This leaves a totally non-uniform but very neutral gray fade-out around the edges of your spraypaint. Use Layers->Flatten Image now.
You're done. File->Save the final image to a .BMP file somewhere, and use Wally to import it.
If anyone wants a full tutorial for all this, I can make one for using 100% free tools for all this chaos? :-)
I got kicked for spraying my spray on a server too many times.....I didn't blame them

Copyright infringement and all.. but I still like it. Plus, you just drop it into your logos directory. No fancy-shmancy programs required. Give it the yellow color, and away you go.

I made this a few days after NS 1.0 was released, it's always good to spray on the floor and annoy the commander:
