<div class="IPBDescription">to save res</div> What do you guys think about building res pool to help get fades faster? Ex: when the 2nd hive is approx 1/2 done, the gorge goes back to skulk, and no one else goes to gorge. with 4-5 res towers eveyone should have enough to fade almost instanly, and the gorge can go right back to building with his 50 res boost. I've used this a few times where the marines are pushing for our hive, and probably have a few early upgrades. Also a good counter to the jp/hmg rush if you can protect the hives.
The only downside is that there are no defenses in the hives untill after 2nd hive is done....

However, having your gorge not spend any res (other than the needed chambers) to allow his overflow to go toward fading has its place. If you need fades asap, it's a decent sacrifice. Having no gorge at all is a huge sacrifice, though, so it would probably not be viable.
There are other threads on the merits of hoarding res after the hive goes up, so I'll leave the details to them.
2. I think it's better to just stay gorge and save up to 100 instead of going skulk. This way, you don't have to waste 13 on going back to gorge, and you can get 3 movements up right away, with res left over, which you can put to good use for a healing station close to where your fades will be attacking (marine base, or the third hive if it's turreted up). This doesn't make a big difference in the amount of overflow your skulks/fades-to-be will get.
3. If the marines are going for HMG/JP, you'll be better off spending those res on offense and defense chambers in the hive, they will be worth more than the slightly faster fades.
