Well, simply tabbing and using the cursor to mute them works for me. If you're not seeing the cursor, bind a key to 'toggleeditps' and hit that key before going to the scores screen.
Search all the forums for it. I have it bound to P, but im at work now and cant recall the exact command. Youd hold tab to show the list, hit that binding, then click the names. then hit the bind to undo. Command was something like toggleeditips or something.
press and hold your scores key and press the key you bound to the command above a cursor will appear, click on the speaker icon of the offender you wish to squelch
the toggleedips command also disables the mini map for the comm and the marines on the ground, can be very annoying, so if the map dissapears press the bind again without holding the scores menu key
Though your friends' script was probably just voice_enable 0. Dont forget to do the toggletc command twice, even if the arrow disappears when you let go of the score-board button(tab), otherwise you'll have no map.
alias +scoremenu "toggleeditps; +showscores" alias -scoremenu "-showscores; toggleeditps" bind tab "+scoremenu"
I think it should work, if your only problem was the scores not showing. I don't know I just made that replace tab with whatever key you have to show the scores.

Uhh... search is your friend. Someone posted a ready made working script for this already: <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=1&t=23350' target='_blank'>http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/in...=ST&f=1&t=23350</a>

I decided one day to up my voice_overdrive (upped it to 5) because I couldn't hear what anybody was saying at all, but now I can't stand it when someone is talking over voice comms and I can't hear skulks sneaking up on me and the like...
So I decided to go for the best of both worlds and create a script which silences everyone when I press a button, for when I need to hear things, and then resets it when I press the button again... trouble was, I couldn't figure out a good way to do it...
I tried <b>'voice_enable 1/0'</b>, but once you've turned it off you can't turn it back on until you leave the game and restart, so then I tried <b>'voice_scale 0/3; voice_overdrive 1/5'</b>... I figured this would do the job, but the only trouble is that if someone is speaking while you press the button, the new settings don't come into effect for that person... If someone was holding down thier button for ages and I clicked my muter button, I could still hear the person unless he/she let go and pressed it again...

NOTE THAT THIS DOESN'T WORK
bind +tab "showscores; wait; toggleeditps"
bind -tab "showscores; wait; toggleeditps"
Dont forget to do the toggletc command twice, even if the arrow disappears when you let go of the score-board button(tab), otherwise you'll have no map.

That's because the command is <i>toggleeditps</i>
Added: Think of it as "Toggle - Edit - PS"

So don't use it unless you <i>really</i> have to.
voice_scale 0

Any ideas what I could do?
