<div class="IPBDescription">might be of interest to someone..</div> Hello,

As some of you might know I've been messing around with 3d modellers lately..anyway, surfin around looking for tutorials, stumbled across these pages..waaayyyy high poly sci fi models , animations, and links to other similar sites..

They have some really nice stuff and some incredibly talented artists ..

<a href='http://www.theforce.net/scifi3d/' target='_blank'>http://www.theforce.net/scifi3d/</a>

Check the "sci fi" section for non-starwars related work and check out some of the artists sites, the "Movie Meshes" site is well worth a look....

Makes me realise how far I will have to go though, as it is, I can just about make a tube intersect with a rectangle.."oooo it's a.....a....well, it's just a blob.."

Bah, Starship Troopers is only on SciFi....AT 7AM! Damn, and I loved that show too. Used to get up early just to see it.

Those pictures make me cry <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> Especially the one of the Predator, it looks so real.

neil blevins has always done great work, but the arachnid model (not his btw) is pure arse it have way too many polys (for a model of an arachnid) and the skin is terrible. i recommend downloading the hunt i seen that movie a long time ago and its quite excellent.
