Whine Or Whinge?
All the time online I see people talking about "whingeing" which I assume is the same as whining... is this yet more bizarre netspeak or a genuine non-American English spelling of whining? And why on earth should there be a G anywhere in that word? I've been pondering this for a while.

I'll second that.
Although I think that half of the time you see anything like that used any more, it's just to make fun of teh l337 people who came up with it in the first place. At least that's the way I use it... *shrug*
It took my a LONG time to realize that colour and armour were not SP errors on my part ;D

This reminds me of the inane/insane page on the Maddox site... although I will give you the benefit of the doubt as whinge is apparently "chiefly british"
Two differant words, pronounced differantly with similar yet differant meanings

Solve my typo speak, btw it isnt meant to be offensive, just came out the top of my head.
Was it meant to make my soul want to stab itself with the nearest stabbing implement?
Cuz that's what it did.

I use it in everyday speach.......but then again, I'm a lo0x0r
personaly I don't mind most things so long as they actualy are understandable.
teh is just silly, it isn't really anoying, it is just silly. I don't take ppl who seriously use it seriously.
I use l337 and other such things simply b/c it is sorta amuzing (and I use abrviations b/c I am a lazy bastd and b/c I tend to type the way I talk (thus bastd).
So I think all of this OMG USE PROPRER GRAMMER AND SPELLING YOU IDIOTs
is sorta silly, you are arguing over something very very very silly.

I don't care if didn't spell it correctly as long as you try (spell checker works wonders) and grammar and spelling is different slightly from country to country
But this for example
1 r0x0r j00 b0x0r's, d4mn n00b f00l
Is utter annoying crap
That is my opinion <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->
Maybe I should start up an elite Vs l337 thread in discussion
