a New Player Forum thread...
May I alert some attention to This thread about potential New Player training sessions.

I'm testing the water - seeing what response there would be to this (UK) endeavour.

There was a thing like this for tribes 2 a while back, apparently it turned out some pretty good players.

I'm all for it! Even though I've been playing a couple of months, there is so much more too learn, and a few sessions "walking" a map with an experienced player would really open this great game up too me. My biggest problem is effective tactics too certain situations. I've tried jumping into games with obviously more experienced players but usally get left behind. Veiwing matches hasn't helped sadly, so go with it....I'll be there!

Could easily turn into a noobie slay-fest if lamers decide to join the server. Often happened on CS beginner servers.

Good idea, but you'd have to be strict on the administration, there's lots of sickos out there who like to pretend to be noobies and go by the name of 'NSplayer'.

And Error, this wouldn't be just a "newbie server", I am more than happy to rid it of people who aren't there to learn. I've had plenty of experience spotting those (in Kingpin I used to invite them for a 1 on 1 training session, they'd accept because they thought they were "it", then after 5 minutes they left with very embarrassing scorelines and didn't bother me again )
