<div class="IPBDescription">Argh!</div> I just had an AIM conversation with one of my friends, and I got this (quote):

Me: You have HL right?
Friend: ya
Me: You should play NS, it's fun.
Friend: NS is ***
Friend: CS is the best

... I then tried explaining why NS is a great mod, but he just dismissed it as "ghey" and kept saying how CS "owns" it. The thing is, this pretty much sums up the attitudes of all my friends (well, the ones who play HL mods). What is wrong with them? Why can't they see that CS is a steaming pile of crap? WHY?!

I feel so alone.

    Doesnt sound like someone I would call "friend." Not because he doesnt like NS. Not because he plays CS, but because he makes judgements about things w/o first making adequate research and in the end dismisses the subject matter in a manner that is not only homophobic but also simplistic and immature.

    I was really hot tonight in CS. A lot better than at NS today :/

    So good I got accused of hacking (was going 4:1) just for camping the objective and killing them as they filed (1x1) into the house in cs_italy. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> priceless evening, this.

    However, learning the initial skills of CS is necessary for a good NS marine, I believe. a good deagle-man will be a GREAT pistol-whipper. a guy good at the colt will love the lack of a need for burst fire for the lmg. The shottie guys? they'll love the hmg (shotgun's a joke, I tried to kill a skulk point blank, he turns and kills me after taking it in the back). All in all CS can bring in some good marine teams, and those who love to run around will love the speed of the kharaa skulk.

    I think your friends are happy playing CS and you shouldn’t try and make them play another game. When they’ve worn themselves out after playing for a few years they might want to try something else. I don’t think your attitude is all that much better then theirs, they say NS is ghey, you say CS “is a steaming pile of crap”, and they can’t see why it sucks but you can. Sounds kind of elitist.

    Lol, tried to get one of my friendswho is a HardCore DoD player to go NS, refusesd

    I then explain why NS is cool and his response was:
    yah but If I learn the maps and stuff(His main prob was getting lost) then I am gona end up addicted and then I will be screwed.

    hehe, he however got me back into DoD (mmmm, good reliable FRIENDLY servers YES!)

    For the same reason people can't see that 'reality television' is a steaming pile of crap, their minds have been so corrupted they're beyond repair.
