Ns Mapping Help!

I am new to NS mapping there are a few things that i have been having trouble with in my first map that i am throwing together.
First: How can i get text to fall down on the screen like the countdown in seige or when you join a game "welcome" falls down. i tried setting it up like i did in HL with the game_text and muilti manager but i can't get it to work. I can get doors to work under the function and that sort of thing but not text.
Next: What is a good pace for the Res output in a game to give the advantage to the aliens? Should i change the hive output? give them more Res nodes? or up there starting res?
3rd: Is there a way to set one hive to always be the aliens starting hive? or does it have to be random everytime? Also can the map start with Res Nodes built already?
4th: Is there a way to shorten the fuel in a jet pack? so they can't fly as long?

4 You can try changing the gravity of the map, but it will effect hopping jackasses, and skulks leaps
Also i still couldn't get the Test to work in NS, the door triggers work fine and everything, i just can't get the text to work..

Don't be confused. The only info_gameplay property still supported is the numbr of starting hives (for testing purposes only).
Jet packs will be nicely nerfed in version 1.1
I got the Hive situation under control now, thx.
About the other topic with the tex... any help on that one?
I just need something like in seige00x when the count down and text that comes at set times... I know how to use multi managers but when i have them trigger the game_text it does nothing... i get no text at all !!! if the flags are not "all clients" then on one will see them

can anyone tell me why when I change my func_wall 's properties to Opaque it wont block the func_Walls? Is it the fact i'm using textured lighting or something else?(with Eldrich's fgd supporting nopaque)
PLZ!!! this is all i need for my map and i can call it good...
